Miami vs. Louisville: The 11th-seeded Hurricanes upset the 7th-seeded Cardinals, 8-5 in the opening game of the 2024 ACC Baseball Championship. Miami started the game off with singles by Jacoby Long and Edgardo Villegas, and then a three-run home run by Daniel Cuvet. Cuvet then hit another three-run home run in the seventh inning, tying him with Pat Burrell for the most home runs by a Miami freshman with 23. Cuvet finished the game 3-5 with two home runs, a single, and six RBI. Lucas Costello also hit a solo home run for the Hurricanes. Pitcher Rafe Schlesinger went 5.2 innings giving up three runs and six hits while striking out five. For Louisville, JT Benson was a triple short of the cycle, going 3-3 with a walk, a hit by pitch, a home run, and three runs scored.
