Georges Niang made only one three on Wednesday night to fall short of his 1.5 line. We thought the game would be a blowout from the jump, but the Cleveland Cavaliers couldn't put away the Memphis Grizzlies until late.
Oh well. Let's bounce back with a first-round matchup for The Masters on Thursday.
If you've followed any of our Masters coverage this week, you know Collin Morikawa is a player we're looking to fade at Augusta National Golf Club.
Morikawa's forte has always been his elite iron play, but that's not the case for him right now. The American has lost strokes on approach in three straight starts for the first time in his career. That's bad news for his chances at Augusta because he doesn't bomb it off the tee, and he still struggles on the greens. Gaining strokes with his irons is how Morikawa can compete in majors, but if he's not doing that, he doesn't stand a chance.
Sahith Theegala, on the other hand, has been on fire with his ball striking this year. The 26-year-old ranks 26th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained from tee to green, and he has a magical short game that can bail him out of tough spots at Augusta. Theegala finished ninth in his Masters debut last year, and he's confident he can contend for a win this time around.
