Baltimore Ravens Meeting With Former Pro Bowl Safety Jamal Adams
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are being viewed as a top-notch Super Bowl contender heading into the 2024 NFL season. After making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game last season, they have big goals of taking one more step and getting into the big game.

A lot of that will have to do with the offensive side of the football. Lamar Jackson is coming off of another MVP season, but the Ravens went out and signed superstar running back Derrick Henry in free agency. His addition gives them a much-needed offensive weapon to balance the passing and running game.

Defensively, the Ravens are going to be among the NFL’s best once again. Even though they lost a couple pieces, they are still loaded with talent.

Now, it appears that they may be considering a late-offseason move to beef up their defense even more.

Baltimore Ravens Meeting With Former Pro Bowl Safety Jamal Adams

According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Baltimore Ravens are meeting with former superstar safety Jamal Adams today.

Just a few short years ago, Adams was one of the most feared defensive players in the NFL. With his speed and playmaking ability, he could impact a game in so many different ways.

Unfortunately, injury issues have derailed his career over the past couple of seasons.

During the 2023 campaign with the Seattle Seahawks, Adams ended up playing in just nine games. He compiled 48 total tackles to go along with two defended passes.

While those numbers aren’t amazing, the Baltimore Ravens would make this move hoping to keep him healthy and get him back to playing at a much higher level. He showed last season that he can still make impact plays. Adams also wouldn’t break the bank for the Ravens.

At this stage of his career, Adams is a low-cost, high-reward type of signing. Bringing him in is far from a guarantee that he’ll be able to be a starter or high impact player. However, the talent and potential is there for him to become an integral part of the defense for whoever signs him.

It will be interesting to see if the Baltimore Ravens pull the trigger and give him another opportunity. He would fit well in their defensive scheme. We’ll keep you update on any future news regarding the Ravens and Adams.
